De Paul receives gifts to support clients —
current and past
De Paul Treatment Centers has received a $5,000
grant from Bank of America through the
Neighborhood Excellence Local Hero Award program.
Michael Smith, a graduate of De Paul’s
adult treatment program, was honored along with
several other Local Heroes at Bank of America’s
awards celebration in mid-November. As a recipient,
Michael chose to designate the gift to De Paul’s
Alumni Association.
The Metropolitan Medical Foundation of Oregon
provided their support to De Paul’s current
clients through a mini-grant in the amount of
$500. The gift was used to purchase 50 copies
of the AA Big Book, an important guidebook for
those in recovery from addictions, which were
used as gifts for the men clients at their annual
holiday party.
De Paul received its most significant grant award
to date in the 2007-08 fiscal year, a $40,000
gift from The Collins Foundation to support the
purchase and integration of clinical software.
De Paul’s executives and board designed
the technology project to reach their strategic
goals of improving clinical services and diversifying
their client base.
De Paul also was awarded a $3,000 unrestricted
grant from the OCF Joseph E. Weston Public Foundation.
The Foundation has been a longtime supporter in
De Paul’s annual campaign.
