Open Volunteer Positions

Peer Support Volunteers - Give back to the recovery community by becoming a Peer Support Volunteer and help others be successful in recovery. We seek adult volunteers who can commit to supporting those new to recovery.

Peer Support Volunteers help participants increase their connections to and awareness of resources and support in the community. Duties might include: provide transportation to off-site AA and NA meetings, or 12-step functions; assist in accessing resources in the community; help find clean and sober living options; assist clients in the process of obtaining an ID, Social Security Card, or Birth Certificate; assist clients with job searches; provide transportation to job fairs, interviews.

DP Fit - Volunteer Fitness Trainer: Support teens in recovery by becoming a Volunteer Fitness Trainer at the De Paul Youth & Family Center.

Help young people an opportunity form relationships with caring adults and each other, build skills, form leadership qualities, and mature into content and healthy adults. Duties might include: assist with the instruction of fitness training of De Paul Youth Treatment Center residents; demonstrate proper technique and safety aspects of exercise and fitness training; explain and educate DP Fit participants on the fundamental anatomical, physiological and training principles underlying physical exercise, health and fitness; administer fitness assessments; help participants log workouts, determine appropriate levels of progressive overload and exercise intensity.
